ES Atlas Menor #1: Disidencia Sexual posibilita un proceso de resignificación que habla en otros términos, trata otros territorios y rompe con los ideales hegemónicos de lo cartográfico. Busca encontrar un potencial que permita cuestionar, remover e imaginar otras vivencias posibles; dar cuenta de lo subjetivo y activar herramientas que denotan una voluntad política. Hace referencia a las diferentes formas de vivir y habitar el espacio a través de testimonios, fotografías u otros registros que cuentan historias; historias que hablan desde la memoria, la intimidad y la ficción, desde lugares de resistencia y de vulnerabilidad.
Venidadevenida es un colectivo formado por Ana Olmedo y Elena Águila. Su práctica entiende la arquitectura y el diseño como herramientas para producir medios especulativos de investigación. Su trabajo se manifiesta en múltiples formatos (objetos, publicaciones, vídeos, etc.) que cuestionan las formas de representación hegemónica y sugieren alternativas críticas con el propósito de generar una práctica sensible a las políticas de los cuerpos, las identidades y el espacio.
«Mirar a la cartografía desde las disidencias sexuales posibilita un proceso de resignificación que habla en otros términos, trata otros territorios y rompe con los ideales hegemónicos de lo cartográfico. Si el mapa ha sido generalmente un instrumento para representar y visibilizar el territorio de manera explícita y nítida, aquí hemos querido buscar cartografías poco o nada ortodoxas, mal calibradas o que se alejen de la legibilidad. Estos mapas no quieren ser un objeto utilitario, sino un intercambio de miradas y experiencias en torno a otras formas de pensar y ocupar el espacio. Ser críticx con la cartografía hegemónica supone cuestionar sus formas de representación, caracterizadas por establecer categorías fijas de análisis. Una cartografía no-representacional está interesada en lo que no es palpable, lo invisible, los afectos, lo performativo, lo virtual y la ficción. Nace de una curiosidad por generar otros espacios, otras reglas; crea y busca otros códigos y otras formas de contar.»

EN Minor Atlas #01. Sexual Dissidence facilitates a process of reinterpretation that speaks in different terms, explores other territories and breaks with the hegemonic ideals of cartography. It seeks to uncover a potential that allows us to question, challenge and imagine other possible experiences; to give voice to the subjective and to activate tools that signify a political will. It refers to the different ways of living and inhabiting space through testimonies, photographs or other records that tell stories; stories that speak from memory, intimacy and fiction, from places of resistance and vulnerability.
Venidadevenida is a collective formed by Ana Olmedo and Elena Águila. Their practice understands architecture and design as tools for producing speculative means of investigation. Their work manifests in multiple formats (objects, publications, videos, etc.) that question hegemonic forms of representation and suggest critical alternatives with the purpose of generating a practice sensitive to the politics of bodies, identities, and space.
"Looking at cartographies from the point of view of sexual dissidence facilitates a process of resignification that speaks in other terms, deals with other territories and breaks away from the hegemonic ideals of cartography. If maps have generally been an instrument to represent and make territory visible in an explicit and sharp manner, what we wanted to look for here were cartographies that are unorthodox or not very orthodox, badly calibrated or those that break free from legibility. These are maps that do not intend to be utilitarian objects, but rather an exchange of perspectives and experiences around other ways of thinking of and occupying space. Being critical of hegemonic cartography entails questioning its forms of representation that are characterised by fixed categories of analysis. A non-representational cartography is interested in that which is not palpable; the invisible, the affective, the performative, the virtual and the fictional. It is born out of a curiosity to generate other spaces and other norms while creating and looking for other codes and other ways of narrating.»
